Jack Norris, SVP Alliances and Strategic Partnerships at Alteryx, joins Ecosystem Aces and discusses how Alteryx works with partners to create a holistic digital transformation experience.

Delivering successful digital transformations requires creating a holistic experience for customers. To ensure effective change management, speed and commitment from workers in this digital transformation process, Alteryx strategically forms partnerships with companies that have expertise in their product.

In this episode, Jack Norris, SVP Alliances and Strategic Partnerships at Alteryx, joins Ecosystem Aces and discusses how Alteryx works with partners to create a holistic digital transformation experience.

Jack shares:

  • How Alteryx leverages its platform to help partners develop IP
  • How Alteryx works with partners to deliver an optimal and holistic experience for digital transformations
  • How Alteryx benefits from having partners that are also customers

Co-Developing IP with Partners

Alteryx understands that their partners are constantly learning and innovating. To maximize, monetize and support this innovation, the company provides its platform to help partners co-develop their own IP.  For Alteryx, the development of IP begins by looking deep into the use cases and value chains their partners have experience in. While this method may create solutions that appear to only be applicable for a very specific customer and their unique challenges, the company understands that even within very targeted solutions, there are certain core processes that will apply to multiple customers. Finally, Alteryx co-develops IP with their partners by taking these re-occurring processes and automating them for scalability and repeatability.

The key for co-developing these IPs is finding those common processes that are repeatable and automating them. What keeps Alteryx ahead of the curve is that, because they have deep analytical capabilities, they are able to automate processes that are industry-specific. This means the company can create even more specialized and niche IP for a certain target group of customers.

Delivering Holistic Digital Transformation Experiences

Digital transformation is difficult. According to Jack only 70% of digital transformations are successful. To be executed optimally digital transformation requires a combination of complexity, speed, commitment from workforce and change management. Alteryx combines their platform and data analytics capabilities with their partners’ expertise to deliver a holistic digital transformation experience to customers.

The automation and ease of use of Alteryx is renowned -- this is the work of their partners. Jack says that Alteryx’s user friendly experience is not the result of the company’s own configuration or deployment but a testament to their partners who contribute to system integration and consulting. In terms of change management and ensuring commitment in the workforce, Alteryx strategically partners with those that work top down to accommodate the transition of digital transformations not only for the leadership team but also the front line worker.

Partnering with Customers

Your partners need to have expertise and a deep understanding about your services. Who knows more about your capabilities than your customers? By strategically partnering with customers, Alteryx ensures that their partners not only have this deep faith in the company but also are able to effectively consult customers on how to best use their product.
